Frank Seeley named among 2012 Australian Export Heroes

The Australian Institute of Export has named SA climate control innovator Frank Seeley among the seven recipients of the 2012 Australian Export Heroes Awards.

To honour these outstanding export performances, on the 16th April the Governor of NSW, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO will officially present the 2012 Australian Export Heroes Awards.

Frank Seeley founded Seeley International in 1972 and was the first to develop and manufacture portable (1972) and fixed (1983) residential evaporative air conditioners made entirely out of plastic, which overcame previous metal corrosion problems to quickly become industry standard.

Frank Seeley is the first SA winner since 2007-08. Past SA winners include Wolf Blass AM(Wine), Dr Patricia Crook AO (medical equipment), Robert Black (meat), Kenneth Soloman (Education), Malcolm May (Hay), John Fargher (Horse racing equipt), Robert Gerard AO (electrical accessories).
