What are the benefits compared to traditional air conditioning?

How Breezair works

Based on the simple principles of evaporation, hot and dry outside air is pumped through water-soaked pads called Chillcel® pads. As the air blows through the Chillcel pads, the water is evaporated and the heat in the air is absorbed, which lowers the air temperature. A fan then pushes the cool air through the ducting system into the building.

Breezair cooling units can be used in fan only mode (no water) when the outside temperature is cool enough, to blow fresh air through the whole building.

It is important to remember that cooled air inside the building is not recirculated, so doors or windows must be left open for this air to escape, alternatively via extraction fans or roof ventilators, providing the whole building with a complete change in air at required intervals.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use Breezair evaporative coolers to remove smoke/production smells/unpleasant odours from my factory/building?

Yes. With no recirculated air (as from traditional refrigerated systems), evaporative cooling is the best solution for industrial plants, especially in production and packaging areas. Keeping doors or windows open (or using an exhaust fan), the fumes, germs, CO2 and odours are drawn outside while the cooler brings in 100% fresh air.

Is evaporative cooling suitable for open/semi-open spaces?

Yes. Outdoor areas have no walls to contain the cool air. These spaces would be impossible to cool using refrigerated air conditioning because this relies on recirculating and reusing air from a sealed area. Evaporative air conditioners (coolers) can easily supply a flow of fresh and cool air to open and semi open areas since the air is exhausted naturally.

What about those exceptionally hot days, will my Breezair cooler cope?

Refrigerated air conditioners tend to drop in cooling performance as ambient temperatures rise, and eventually will end up failing altogether in extreme temperatures. Evaporative coolers will continue to operate reliably even under the most extreme external temperature conditions cooling performance improves as temperatures rise, together with cost saving capabilities.

Can I control multiple Breezair coolers and set operation times?

Yes. With the MagIQtouch controller you can control up to 60 coolers and set up with a 7-day program: program mode divides each day into four different time periods. You decide how you want your system to work. With the MagIQcool controller, you can decide how long you want the evaporative cooler to delay power on and off.
