Customers benefit from our local quality checks at our NATA-accredited testing facility at Lonsdale. We have a team of around 50 engineers at Lonsdale in mechanical, aeronautical, electronics and product design.

The Story Behind Seeley’s Australian HVAC Brand

Seeley’s local-manufacturing identity goes back to Frank Seeley, our founder, who built the world’s first all-plastic evaporative cooler in his Adelaide garage in 1972. Frank had an idea to solve an industry-wide problem: HVAC systems then were susceptible to corroding metal cooler parts and had an all-plastic design that didn’t last. 

From his Adelaide garage, Frank grew the business to Australia’s largest air conditioning manufacturer, exporting to more than 100 countries. Seeley then acquired Australian HVAC brands like Braemar and Coolair, while releasing our own flagship brands like Breezair and Climate Wizard. These high-quality products now fit together as part of our brand family.
