Al-Khafaji Motors car showroom (Iraq) - Breezair

Background

The semi-open showroom layout, with high ceilings, dense vehicle display, and strong lighting, created a significant pyramidal heat load. This raised indoor temperatures up to 42°C, making the environment uncomfortable for staff and customers.

An efficient cooling solution was therefore required to manage the large semi-open space without relying on traditional, energy-intensive air conditioning systems.

Solution

A Breezair evaporative cooling system was selected as the most suitable solution for the showroom’s environmental conditions, as it is the perfect cooling solutions for semi open spaces. The project included six Breezair units delivering 60,060 cubic meters per hour, ensuring strong and consistent air renewal.

To optimize air distribution, a dedicated ducting system was also designed and implemented. This system includes two strategically positioned air outlets, allowing for a more uniform and controlled airflow throughout the semi-open exhibition area, improving overall comfort conditions for both staff and visitors.

Results

After installation and commissioning of the system, the showroom showed clear and measurable improvements:

• Indoor temperatures were reduced from 42°C to 24°C
• Significant increase in thermal comfort for both employees and visitors
• Airflow distribution became uniform across the entire exhibition space, effectively eliminating hot spots and improving overall indoor conditions.

As a result, the showroom was successfully transformed into a more comfortable, functional, and modern environment, better suited to the needs of both staff and customers.
