The Climate Wizard CW80 is an advanced indirect evaporative cooling system, built around Seeley International’s proprietary Multi-Cycle Core. This technology enables the CW80 to deliver temperatures comparable to refrigerated systems. This, while achieving up to 80% energy savings by using water as the refrigerant. The result is outstanding comfort, reduced operating costs, and a significant cut in carbon emissions—without compromise.
Unlike conventional air conditioning, the CW80 supplies 100% fresh, filtered outside air, dramatically improving indoor air quality (IAQ) and occupant wellbeing. With an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of up to 19 and the ability to operate at static pressures up to 820 Pa, the CW80 is ideal for complex ducted installations and large industrial spaces. For example, it can deliver airflow rates as high as 30,600 m³/h at 270 Pa, consuming just 14 kW of power and offering a cooling capacity of up to 234 kW—all using only water as the refrigerant. At the heart of the Climate Wizard CW80 is the Multi-Cycle Core—a series of heat exchange stages that indirectly evaporate water in a separate air stream, transferring cooling energy without adding moisture to the supply air. This process leverages counter-flow and cross-flow channels to maximize thermal efficiency, achieving dew-point cooling performance that rivals mechanical refrigeration. By isolating the working air from the supply air and recirculating a portion of the pre-cooled supply air, the system delivers stable, low-temperature air with minimal energy input and zero reliance on synthetic refrigerants. Climate Wizard units are not limited to new installations—they can be seamlessly integrated into existing HVAC systems as a pre-cooling stage or supplementary cooling solution. When installed upstream of conventional DX or chilled-water coils, CW units reduce the entering air temperature, significantly lowering compressor load and energy consumption. The system delivers a combined 1,182 kW of cooling to maintain optimal conditions in a 2,787 m² engine room. In Adelaide, Australia, two CW80 units were integrated into a pre-cooling system for the city’s first Carbon Neutral certified office. The system delivers up to 12,400 L/s of pre-cooled outside air at 20°C to over 9,300 m² of office space.
