Recognition from Australian homeowners

Finder’s Customer Satisfaction Awards are based on feedback from Australians who have purchased and used the brands they rate. More than 50,000 Australians participated across the 2026 awards program, with air conditioner owners asked about areas including brand love, reliability, value, performance, ease of cleaning and whether they would recommend their system.

The awards are independently determined from Finder’s consumer research and are not influenced by commercial partnerships. Finder also awards only one winner for each category.

Across the 2026 Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards, Braemar and Breezair received five awards and commendations:

FAQs

How are the Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards decided?

Finder’s Customer Satisfaction Awards are based on feedback from Australians about brands they have actually purchased and used. For the 2026 air conditioning awards, owners rated their air conditioner across areas including brand love, reliability, value, performance, ease of use, ease of cleaning and whether they would recommend the brand.

Finder calculates each award using the rating for that specific measure. For example, the Most Loved award is based on how respondents rated their love for the brand, rather than an overall score combining every measure.

What does “Most Loved Ducted Air Conditioner Brand” mean?

The Most Loved award reflects how highly Australian owners rated their love for a particular brand. In the 2026 ducted air conditioner results, Braemar received the highest Most Loved score at 4.61 out of 5, ahead of Daikin at 4.51 and Hitachi at 4.45.

This distinction is useful. We shouldn’t describe the award as meaning Finder named Braemar the “best ducted air conditioner overall”. Finder assessed several separate measures, and different brands won different categories. Braemar specifically received the highest result for Most Loved.

Are the Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards independent?

Yes. Finder states that its Customer Satisfaction Awards are an independent awards program and that commercial partnerships do not influence the results. Brands also do not pay to enter the awards or to use a Finder Awards badge in their marketing.

Finder recognises only one winner for each award category, with other strong-performing brands able to receive Highly Commended recognition.
