Australian children to be big winners from ongoing Variety Bash event supported by Seeley International

While most people associate Frank Seeley AM FAICD with his award-winning company, Seeley International, the successful Australian manufacturer also has a track record for community support that spans some 45 years. This is set to continue following Seeley International’s decision to renew its major sponsorship of Variety – the Children’s Charity.

The Founder and Executive Chairman of Seeley International, says being able to help children who are disadvantaged across Australia, was more than sufficient motivation for continuing the partnership for another 3-year period.

“With my wife, Kathy, we have been very fortunate to raise healthy and happy children and watch them develop into respected and successful adults, but there are so many families that are not as blessed as mine. All children deserve the same opportunities in life, and we can all play a role in supporting children and their families through the challenges that come with sickness, disadvantage or living with a disability,” Mr Seeley said.

“You don’t stay in business for as long as I have, without encountering a number of setbacks, disappointments and challenging times, but through the good and the bad, we have continued to have the support of our customers, and it is only right to give back to the community at every opportunity, in recognition of that loyalty.”

In 2014 Seeley International first announced its support of Variety – The Children’s Charity, as a national gold sponsor in the popular 2015, 2016 and 2017 Variety Bash events across the country. The Australian manufacturer has rallied its extensive national dealer network to annually raise funds, which Seeley International  has continued to match dollar for dollar – resulting in a contribution of more than a quarter of a million dollars over that time.

“Our customers have strengthened Seeley International’s reputation for innovative and market-leading heating and cooling products – and we are delighted to give back to the community through opportunities like this sponsorship of Variety,” Mr Seeley said.

“We have previously seen our support contribute to the purchase and modification of a Variety Sunshine Coach for a local primary school, and provide mobility to children who may otherwise be unable to experience the joys of excursions and other external learning experiences,” he said.

Variety SA CEO, Mark McGill says the renewed support from Seeley International and its dealer network will continue to help improve the lives of many Australian children.

“Our Variety Bash is a major fundraising event, and to have a business of the calibre of Seeley International commit to being a national gold sponsor helps to fund our programs and allows us to deliver on the physical, emotional and financial needs of individual children through a range of support options,” Mr McGill said.

“Our work ensures children gain mobility and freedom, get out and about in the community, communicate, achieve independence and increase their self-esteem, and where possible, assistance to help them integrate into mainstream school and activities,” he said.

“But Variety cannot do this without the ongoing generosity of Corporate Partners like Seeley International and its dealer network – and the contributions they make directly enrich the lives of many Australian children and their families.”
