SEELEY INTERNATIONAL DRAWS ON STRONG CREDENTIALS FOR SOUTH AFRICAN EXPANSION

Seeley International has strengthened its global presence through the launch of its own subsidiary in Africa – taking its Australian-designed and manufactured air-conditioners direct into some of the harshest weather conditions on the planet.

Seeley International founder and Executive Chairman, Mr Frank Seeley AM welcomed the opportunity to grow its African presence to better showcase its unique range of innovative and global-leading air-conditioners.

“To support our presence there, we welcome to the Seeley International family Mr Hennie Verster as the Africa Sales Manager and Mr Chris Toomey as the Technical Manager,” Mr Seeley said.

“Until recently Seeley International used a local distributor arrangement, but it is time to grow and service the local market more effectively by offering direct support with more comprehensive on-the-ground services.”

Newly-appointed Africa Sales Manager, Mr Hennie Verster, welcomed his new role and said the Seeley International air-conditioners were ideally suited to the local environmental extremes.

“Seeley International Africa will provide greatly increased support to its extensive dealer network through its own highly-qualified staff, ensuring total customer service, from right through sales and installation, to maintenance and diagnostics support,” he said.

Seeley International is renowned the world over for its innovation and ability to design and manufacture superb quality products – with Breezair, Climate Wizard, Braemar, Coolair and Convair brands all having excelled in the harshest and most challenging conditions on earth.

“This announcement is good news for Seeley International and our staff, good news for South Australia, and good news for all other Australian manufacturers because it demonstrates that a local business can thrive and grow on an international level.”

The establishment of Seeley International Africa is the latest achievement in a long international presence, with the business supplying the first all-plastic portable evaporative air conditioners to Iraq in 1980 and the USA in 1985, before opening sales offices in Europe, Spain, France and Italy in the following years.
